Tasting Note
(90-92) Points, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous Bright, dark red. Distinctly wild nose offers scents of black raspberry, black cherry, leather and game. Densely packed and a touch sauvage on the palate, with dark fruit flavors complemented by notes of chocolate, menthol, game and earth and nicely framed by harmonious ripe acidity. Not as sweet as the village Chambolle but the tannins are nicely supported. I've described this cuvée in the past as a Nuits-Saint-George that's obviously made by a vigneron from Chambolle-Musigny, but this example is a clear representative of its village.Review Date: 01 Jan 17
