Tasting Note
(89-92) Points, Stephen Tanzer, 2020-2029 Vinous (racked three weeks before my visit; a blend of all five cuvées made from this holding): Good dark red. Distinctly darker on the nose than the village Chambolle, offering scents of black cherry, licorice, bitter chocolate and leather. Dense, sweet and broad, with some very ripe suggestions to the flavors of black fruits, bitter chocolate and spices. Can't match the Chambolle wines here for energy and cut, but the persistent finish offers an attractive chocolatey sweetness.Review Date: 01 Jan 15
