Tasting Note
90-93 Points, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous (the malolactic fermentation finished a couple weeks prior to my visit) Good red-ruby. Perfumed aromas of dark berries and flowers. Very concentrated and intensely flavored, and already showing a compelling creamy sweetness. Very chewy and dense but with excellent verve. Long on the aftertaste. From very small berries, and it shows. (A supple, full Combe aux Moines showed lovely gamey complexity and impressive persistence, but was barely 25% of the way through malo.)Review Date: 01 Mar 03
