Tasting Note
95 Points, David Schildknecht, 2019-2058 Vinous Quince and apricot preserves, marzipan, hazelnut extract, heliotrope and lily inform the heady nose and the luscious, creamy, buoyant palate of this beauty, allegedly rendered from fruits virtually uninfluenced by noble rot. The nut paste, liquid floral and jellied fruit elements carry into a finish of sensational sheer reach, to which hints of ginger and fruit pit lend welcome counterpoint. This is one of those typical instances at this address where although further complexity and a long life are assured, there is no way I am going to go on record as advocating that you avoid sampling a bottle in its extreme youth.
