Tasting Note
91-94 Points, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous Good bright red-ruby. Claret-like aromas of black raspberry, dark cherry, graphite, minerals, mocha and licorice. Lush and sweet but not yet showing the mid-palate definition of the 2005. Firmly structured wine but without quite the tight grain of the 2005. The substantial, building tannins arrive late, allowing the fruit and licorice flavors to expand on the back. This ultimately comes across as quite firmly structured but less sweet than the 2005.Review Date: 01 May 08
