Tasting Note
92-95 Points, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous Good deep red. Complex, inviting aromas of dark berries, game, rose petal and nutty oak. Lush, seamless and round; sweet and rich. Finishes with very fine tannins and lingering sweetness. Very classy wine, deceptively pliant on the back end but built for aging. Except for the Musigny, Faiveley used 50% new oak for his 2002 grand crus, putting the wine that was in new barrel into used barrels following the malolactic, and vice-versa.Review Date: 01 Mar 04
