Tasting Note
(91-93) Points, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous (60% new oak): Healthy dark red. A musky touch of reduction to the aromas of black raspberry, smoke and minerals. Densely packed, chewy and concentrated, conveying an impression of depth to its flavors of dark berries, spices and saline minerality. But very reduced and hard to judge today, displaying limited sweetness in the early going. The tannins are dusty and broad. This wine has tightened up in Domaine d'Eugenie's cold cellar, but it's still clearly a large-scaled premier cru.Review Date: 01 Jan 17
