Tasting Note
91-95 Points, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous From a Taransaud barrel: Good full red. Ripe nose dominated by smoky oak. Sweet, ripe and quite full but not particularly expressive today. Then explodes impressively on the back end, showing excellent size and length. From a Francois barrel: Purer nose dominated by exotic berries. Supple, lush and spicy; this has the characteristic tang of La Tache. Dense but imploded. Very firm and pure on the finish. Showing very well today.Review Date: 01 Mar 03
