Tasting Note
87-90 Points, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous Dark ruby-red color. Brooding black fruit nose, with aromas of hot stones and menthol. Smooth in the mouth, but doesn't have the velvety texture or density of the '94—or the earlier wine's expressiveness. As with some '94s, there's a sweet-sour impression that suggests incomplete phenolic ripeness. Review Date: 01 May 96
