Tasting Note
91-94 Points, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous Deep, saturated color. Knockout nose combines pungent raspberry and cassis, minerals, iodine and a hint of fresh blood; some sexy high tones give this great appeal. Rich and thick in the mouth, but fresh and delineated, with lovely sweetness and superb flavor intensity. A faint sweaty/iron character and some tangy black cherry and boysenberry give the wine great inner-mouth aromatics. Here's a 1995 St. Julien that really coats the mouth and stains the palate.
