Tasting Note
89 Points, Neal Martin, 2021-2036 Vinous The 2004 Coutet is a little deeper in color than the 2003. It offers tangerine, beeswax saffron and orange blossom scents on the nose, though I would not rank it as the most entrancing I have encountered from this Barsac property. The palate is very well balanced with crisp acidity, tangy marmalade and quince with an almost Alsace-like finish that lingers, a hint of shiso leaf numbing the tongue on the aftertaste. Tasted from an ex-château bottle served at the estate. Review Date: 13 Feb 24
