Tasting Note
92-95 Points, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous Saturated dark color. Multidimensional, subtle aromas of spice, black raspberry and mulberry, with a faint roasted quality; shows none of the herbal notes this wine can display in less ripe years. Packed with spicy, layered, fruit; dense but suave and sharply defined. Really compelling inner-mouth flavor. Finishes very long, with thoroughly ripe, even tannins. This is harmonious already—and hard to spit. Review Date: 01 May 96
