Tasting Note
94 Points, Josh Raynolds, Vinous (100% chardonnay, from a plot that was planted in 1960; no dosage; disgorged in February, 2013): Vivid yellow. Suave, expansive aromas of lemon curd, poached pear, buttered toast and chamomile, with notes of iodine and jasmine emerging with aeration. Juicy, penetrating and pure, offering vibrant orchard and citrus fruit flavors with a strong mineral overtone. Weightier on the finish, which shows superb delineation and persistence. This seductive Champagne was raised entirely in oak and it's wearing it very well.Review Date: 01 Nov 13
