Tasting Note
91 Points, David Schildknecht, 2020-2030 Vinous Overripe Persian melon and pear are garlanded in honeysuckle and peony on a forward nose. The palate is even more lushly fruited and glossy than that of the corresponding “regular” Doctor Spätlese (A.P. #3), and there is similarly effusive inner-mouth floral perfume. It would be nice to experience a bit more liveliness and sheer juiciness on the alcoholically delicate and undeniably persistent finish, but there is mouthwatering compensatory salinity.
