Yesterday evening Atlas hosted a spectacular Tasting and Dinner with Andrea Bosco, of Agostino Bosco at Piazza Italiana, showcasing a range of older vintages and highlighting the nuances of each vineyard.
Though still a relatively small producer in Barolo, Andrea's wines deserve far greater recognition. Andrea owns a small estate with six hectares of vines, four and a half in the commune of La Morra and one and a half in Verduno. Among his holdings are two impressive parcels within Cru vineyards, namely La Serra in La Morra and Neirane in Verduno.
He has augmented his estate with acquisitions in La Morra, which he blends to make a hugely impressive cuvée, his Barolo, Comune di La Morra. We were very impressed with the recent 2018 and 2019 vintages, which also scored highly with Antonio Galloni of vinous.com. You will likely have seen Simon's recent review of the recent 2020 vintage, which you can read here.
