Enquire NowChâteau Palmer needs little by way of an introduction. This impressive Margaux third growth regularly exceeds expectations and is capable ofrivaling, oreven besting, first growth Château Margaux in certain vintages (the 1989 is a case in point). Moreover, Palmer has built an enviable reputation for excelling in even the most tricky of vintages to such an extent that vintages are often shown blind at the various dinner held by the Château with surprising results.
Palmer has a style all of its own, yet remains quintessentially Margaux. Part of Palmer’s unique appeal is its Merlot content, with as much as 40% employed in certain vintages. Many have commented that this proportion of Merlot adds an almost Pomerol-like richness and a generosity to the palate. The style of Palmer has been refined still further in recent years under the winemaking direction of the esteemed Thomas Duroux. This progression in style will be clear to all present at this dinner with vintages ranging from 2010 to 1983, hitting various notable high points on the way.
We are very pleased that Chris Myers, Export Director of Château Palmer, will be joining us for a special dinner, which is open to a few select clients. At this dinner, Chris will introduce some of the finest vintages of Palmerwith comments from Simon Larkin MW of Atlas along the way. This dinner will provide a great opportunity to taste some of this exceptional property’s greatest vintages side by side, ranging from the incredible potential of 2010 to the legendary status of the 1983. We are delighted to have put together such an impressive roll-call of vintages with the assistance of the Château. Please find the full wines list below:
