It is not very often that one has the opportunity to take part in a small, informal dinner and tasting which focuses on one of the greatest châteaux in Bordeaux and one of the greatest estates in the world. And I speak as someone in the wine trade! We are very pleased that Monsieur Pierre-Olivier Clouet, Technical Director of Château Cheval-Blanc has agreed to host this special dinner, which will be open to a select few clients and held in the private dining room of Café Anglais on 5th February. The evening will commence with a tasting of two recent vintages of the newly-acquired La Tour du Pin, the property which lies at the foot of the pine-lined drive up to Cheval-Blanc, as well as a great young vintage of Cheval-Blanc itself. We will then partner the more mature vintages as detailed on the following page with a menu created by Rowley Leigh, Café Anglais’ Chef Proprietor, specifically for the event. Given the LVMH ownership of the estate, I am also pleased to add that we will kick-off the dinner with a glass of the dry white from Château d’Yquem, Ygrec, and the evening would not be complete if we did not conclude with a glass of the golden elixir itself, would it?

We would advise a swift response should you wish to join us for what will undoubtedly be another superb evening.
