Tasting Note
92-95? Points, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous Good dark red. Wilder on the nose than the Clos de Bèze, with a slight smoky, gamey reduction to the sexy aromas of black raspberry, mocha and earth. Densely packed, juicy and powerful, even imploded, conveying terrific inner-mouth energy and a somewhat sauvage character today. Showing less floral lift and more animal funkiness than the Clos de Bèze, but this penetrating, soil-driven wine is quite closed today. Review Date: 01 Jan 11
