Tasting Note
89-91 Points, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous Good deep ruby-red. Aromas of blackberry, violet and licorice pastille. Juicy, minerally and penetrating but tightly coiled and on the lean side, in need of long barrel aging. This seems a bit less ripe than Bouchard's best domain offerings (like the Charmes, this is purchased wine), as well as more heavily extracted, even brutal. Finishes with a note of licorice and some tough tannins.Review Date: 01 Mar 07
