Steve Weids, Private Client Sales

Atlas is pleased to announce the newest member of the team: Steve Weids. 

Steve  joined the wine trade in the early 1990’s and is the newest member of the Atlas team. Having initially graduated from Wimbledon School of Art, with a degree in Sculpture, Steve actually spent a year teaching Fine Art in Florence before moving to San Franciso which only furthered a nascent, side-line interest in wine.  With such a background, it comes as no surprise that he has developed a keen interest in the wines of Tuscany and the USA. Returning the UK in 1996, he decided on a different career path and opted for a sales role in the wine department of a prestigious London store. As his experience and interest progressed, he moved to a major UK wine merchant and focused his intentions on developing sales to private clients. It was at Notting Hill-based Armit that Steve worked his way up to Head of Private Clients, managing a team of 7 as well as advising clients on their collections. A great many of Steve’s clients have purchased from him over a number of years, benefiting from both his tasting opinions and his market insight. Recognising it was time for him to take on a new challenge, Steve joined the sales team at Atlas in October 2014.
