Will Smith studied Political Science and Italian at University of Exeter. It was during this time, that he made the most of an opportunity to spend six months working for Bibi Graetz, a renowned Tuscan estates just outside of Florence. It was here that his interest in wine was founded; he played an active role in all aspects of wine production – from harvesting grapes, to processing the fruit in the winery through to dispatching orders. Upon graduating, it was Will’s aim to continue to build his knowledge and experience in wine. Having worked for two years with a major UK multiple servicing both retail and on-trade clients, Will decided he wanted to move into the fine wine end of the market and subsequently joined Atlas in 2014. At Atlas, Will’s role is diverse, though his focus remains new business objectives and the development of his own base of clients. Having lived in Italy, Switzerland and Germany, Will speaks three foreign languages with a good degree of fluency. He successfully completed his WSET Advanced Certificate last year and will be moving onto the two-year WSET diploma in the latter stages of this year.
